  • J.D., Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, 2000

  • Wake County Bar Association, Member since 2004
  • North Carolina Advocates for Justice, Member since 2004
  • North Carolina State Bar, Licensed since March 20, 2004

Background:

Brian Demidovich is the Managing Member of The Law Corner. Brian has lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since January 2001 when he started his legal career in corporate contract, merger and acquisition law with SpectraSite Communications in Cary, NC. After three years of uncertainty with SpectraSite ’s future, Brian and two attorneys decided to form a law practice together where Brian focused on matters involving all areas of family law, general contract litigation, traffic and estate planning. Of the three attorneys, Brian was known as "the one who goes to court". After a couple years, Brian decided to branch off on his own and take control of his own destiny and The Law Corner was created in October 2006.

When Brian was a second year law student he worked for a small law firm until he graduated in December 2000. The firm focused entirely on family law and Brian was the senior partner’s law clerk. The firm was all about litigation. Brian drafted discovery & motions, prepared subpoenas, interviewed witnesses, compiled trial notebooks and he sat second chair in the courtroom often. Brian describes this time as a grueling and invaluable experience. He says "they pushed me further than I thought I could go, I will always remember my clerkship and be grateful for the tools that I acquired early in my career." With Brian’s earlier work experience in social work behind him, he says "Family law comes natural to me, I understand what they are going through and what they need. Sometimes it has nothing to do with being a lawyer. You have to wear many hats."

Brian’s litigation experience began his second year of law school as described above. It just so happened to be in the area of family law. When Brian and his two former partners joined forces, Brian was the firms "court house attorney" and took over all of the firms litigation. Brian is very comfortable in the courtroom. He doesn’t mind if he spends the majority of the day in the courthouse. He says that he would be described by his colleagues as an attorney who takes a no nonsense approach to his cases. He thoroughly knows the facts, understands the law and is a strong advocate in the courtroom, especially on cross examination. There is nothing like a good trial, the strategy, the stress, the adrenaline and execution.

Estate planning is an area that Brian took a particular interest in law school. He devotes most of his time in self education in estate planning and family law. Brian firmly knows that everyone needs affordable estate planning and more needs to be done in educating the public about estate planning.

If you want to know more about Brian, please give him a call. He is an open minded person and is a straight shooter with his advice and opinions. You will enjoy your time with him. Take a look at his testimonials.
